Following is a description of our Elgin Crosswind J+ sweeper in our Charleston inventory. It has about 2,598 hours on the sweeper and 49,920 miles of use as a demonstrator and rental unit.
ELGIN Crosswind Series J+ re-circulating air sweeper complete with dual side brooms, 8 yd. hydraulic hopper, John Deere 4045TF150 115 HP diesel auxiliary engine and all standard equipment, including:
- Backup alarm, electric, clearance lights and broom lights
- Blower, 20,000 CFM with Linatex lined housing
- Brooms, dual side with lights hydraulic driven with pneumatic placement
- Control console with rocker switches for all sweep functions and gauges
- Engine shutdown system for low oil pressure and high water temp

- Hose, 16’8” hydrant fill with coupling and pre-filter
- Pickup head, hydraulically operation with 14” dia. pressure and 12.75” dia. suction hose with quick disconnect and vacuum enhancer
- Water tank, 240 gallon polyethylene with filter, pump and nozzles
- Rear mounted camera system with color monitor
- In-cab and outside hopper dump controls
- Sweep resume/transport and auto pickup in reverse controls
- All other standard equipment, plus:
- LifeLiner hopper liner
- Hopper inspection door, right side
- Auxiliary hydraulic pump with cab controls
- Hydraulic wandering hose attachment with cab/rear controls
- Right side power broom tilt with cab controls
- High pressure wash down
- Rear and front strobes with guards
- Dual fender mirrors
- 2012 Freightliner M2 cab and chassis with dual cab controls, Cummins 200 HP diesel engine, Allison 2500RDS auto transmission, 33,000 lb. GVW, 12,000 lb. front axle and springs, power steering, 21,000 lb. 2-speed rear axle with 23,000 lb. springs, air brakes with drain valves, 11R22.5-14 tires, west coast mirrors with spots, air conditioning, radio and white paint.
